Shenzhen and Hong Kong jointly chart a new vision for cooperation and propose a new future for Bay Area integration

August marks the 45th anniversary of the Shenzhen Special Economic Zone. I, along with 60 talents from both Shenzhen and Hong Kong, visited the Shenzhen Loop Area to explore new directions for integrated development between the two cities through site visits and cross-sectoral discussions. The "Drawing a Shared Vision" workshop focused on cross-border development issues, with economic and livelihood experts, professionals, young entrepreneurs, and students from both cities sharing real-world experiences, discussing the challenges of talent cultivation and career development, and offering concrete suggestions. As a scholar researching regional economics, I deeply resonate with and benefit greatly from hearing Chairman Zhang Keke discuss the secrets of the Loop Area and Director Zhang Yuge talk about Greater Bay Area integration. In organizing this consensus meeting, I hope to provide an opportunity for experts and young people to engage in equal dialogue, collective thinking, and joint decision-making. I believe that Shenzhen-Hong Kong cooperation is a stage for citizen participation, where talents from both cities can think, create, and act together to jointly depict a more inclusive, innovative, and sustainable blueprint for Shenzhen-Hong Kong cooperation.
