The volunteers I trained and dispatched by the Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups to participate in service work at the Shanghai World Expo have successfully returned to Hong Kong. Their reflections show a significant improvement in their professional skills and international perspectives, and they offered insightful observations and reflections on topics such as the volunteer service system in Shanghai and Hong Kong, exhibitions and the exhibition economy, and business diplomacy. I also witnessed many students from the Chinese University of Hong Kong actively participating in Expo services, demonstrating the excellent qualities and broad-mindedness of local youth; it was very gratifying to be able to interact with them on-site. I hope that in the future, more young people will gain experience and broaden their horizons through large-scale international events, and give back to Hong Kong what they have learned.
