Seek Our Ways Social Innovation Project

As a mentor in the Seek Our Ways Social Innovation Program, which is fully supported by Hang Seng Bank and organized by the Youth Association Leadership Academy, I have worked with more than 400 secondary and tertiary students from all over Hong Kong in the past six months. Through policy analysis and social innovation training, I witnessed how they transformed their creativity into influential action plans. I led a series of policy analysis workshops to help students understand the institutional roots behind social problems and learn how to propose forward-looking solutions based on evidence and public interest. It was a meaningful experience to be able to intensively train them to be creative in the three major themes of "environment and sustainable development", "sports for all" and "healthy aging". The students who advanced to the finals presented innovative solutions ranging from plastic substitutes, matching platforms for elderly centers, to eco-friendly leather made from apple peels. They are not just participants, but also designers of the future society 😁.

Renmin Avenue

In an interview with Commercial Radio's "People's Avenue Central", we discussed the development trends of education in the Mainland and observations on "studying in Hong Kong". In the program, we explored the multi-dimensional choices and challenges faced by Mainland students in planning their education paths, and analyzed the unique value of Hong Kong as an international education hub. With its bilingual teaching environment in Chinese and English, its cultural ecology that blends the East and the West, and its internationally recognized higher education system, Hong Kong provides Mainland students with a development platform that combines academic depth and a global perspective. How to help students and parents understand the differentiated advantages and development opportunities of Hong Kong education in a more systematic way still requires the coordinated promotion of policymakers, higher education institutions and all sectors of society.

21st Century Education Forum 2025

The survey found that most Hong Kong people do not like their jobs. In the past year, my team has examined whether students' growth indicators and career plans are consistent with future workplace needs, and also helped employers rethink their talent selection standards and training strategies. In the "Growth Indicators for Primary and Secondary School Students" dialogue at the "21st Century Education Forum 2025", I shared my research results with researchers and practitioners from different fields and faced a core question: When Hong Kong's economic structure transforms and global workplace demands change dramatically, can the current education indicators still effectively guide student growth? From various speeches and discussions, I deeply feel that the challenge of education lies not only in the updating of knowledge content, but also in the reconstruction of values and the redesign of the system.
