Before returning to China, Chinese President Xi Jinping met with US President Donald Trump for tea. Xi said he expects to have two more meetings with Trump this year: one at the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit in China, and the other at the G20 summit in the United States.
In his post, Trump mentioned that the summit was productive and that American farmers would be very happy. Pan Xuezhi, Assistant Director of the Joint Institute for Shanghai-Hong Kong Development Studies at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, analyzed the key points of the Xi-Trump meeting.
