A heartfelt thank you to the Sichuan Provincial Department of Education for their strong support, enabling us to organize a team of experts to visit Chengdu and Luzhou for educational exchanges. We had in-depth discussions on "digital education" and "global literacy," sharing cutting-edge ideas and practical outcomes. The event featured demonstration classes by Sichuan and Hong Kong teachers, showcasing different teaching styles. Dozens of educators observed and evaluated the lessons, sparking new thoughts and gaining valuable insights from the exchange of teaching methods.

Just wrapped up an inspiring tour in the Greater Bay Area, visiting cities like Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Zhongshan, and Zhuhai. Had some fantastic discussions with principals from secondary schools about how we can nurture students with global literacy. I'm hopeful that our educational exchanges and collaborations will continue to grow, boosting teaching capabilities, global awareness, and cross-cultural adaptability. Together, we're working to cultivate the next generation of youth who are proud of their national identity and equipped with a global perspective, contributing to educational equity, social harmony, and the internationalization of talent.

Visit to the Western Science City in Chongqing High-Tech Zone The Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle is the fourth major growth hub in China, following the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, the Yangtze River Delta, and the Greater Bay Area. The Western Science City serves as the core platform for twin-city cooperation. Many thanks to Director Zhou Wenyang from the Public Service Bureau for the warm reception. We had an in-depth exchange on the "Highland of Innovation" plan, learning the progress and achievements of the special zone.

We explored foreign businesses' and expatriates' views on Hong Kong's business environment, focusing on the impact of recent legal and policy changes. Excited to share my recent experience working with young leaders on public finance principles! Over three days, we brainstormed innovative proposals to the government Budget, including promoting Hong Kong's dai pai dong culture, creating interactive local film experiences, and introducing infrastructure bonds for public housing. The students also participated in "Budget Online," sharing their ideas with Financial Secretary Paul Chan. It’s inspiring to see young minds envisioning Hong Kong’s future! Let’s give them a round of applause!

Recently presented my paper on "Perspectives of HK Youth on One Country Two Systems: Pattern and Practice of Chinese Modernisation" at the Symposium on Chinese Modernisation and Youth Development, jointly organised by CUHK and the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. The event focused on the relations between Chinese modernisation and youth employment, community engagement, and personal development. Over 20 experts shared their thoughts on navigating the challenges of globalisation through holistic growth in professional skills, innovative capabilities, social responsibility, and civic awareness. Grateful for the chance to contribute and eager to apply these insights in my work.

Yan Oi Tong Youth Space has kicked off an inspiring youth community engagement proposal program! This initiative is all about empowering passionate young individuals to harness their strengths and make a real difference in their communities. Thanks to the generous support from the Kerry Group Kuok Foundation, we've hosted a series of impactful training sessions and community activities leading up to the final judging day. It was truly a pleasure to be part of this journey, hearing the authentic voices of our youth and seeing their hard work come to life.

Students explored China's Reform and Opening-Up and "One Country Two Systems" through interactive lectures and fun card games in our "Journey Through Republic History" Youth Legal Literacy Programme. Sichuan-Chongqing-Hong Kong-Macao Youth Science Competition 2024 Co-organized by the Asia STEAM Education Association and supported by CUHK Shanghai-Hong Kong Institution, “Sichuan-Chongqing-Hong Kong-Macao Youth Science Competition 2024" aimed to boost students' scientific literacy across all STEAM fields. The award ceremony saw 600 academic elites from Sichuan, Chongqing, Hong Kong, and Macao come together. This competition not only honed students' logical reasoning, problem-solving, and innovative thinking skills but also inspired them to stay curious and brave in exploring the world.
